As articulated in my 2nd volume, Children are the mainstay of our entire universe. I would further like to devote and dedicate this article to children welfare.
While the onus of ensuring the wellbeing of the child bears squarely on the shoulders of parents, it is important to note that in my practice I am increasingly coming across parents who are so engrossed in their own lives that parental care has been destined to the proverbial upper shelves.
Gone are the days when the parents took pride in taking their children to parks and forests to play or camp, light bonfires, sing and enjoy the trait of family bonding. Each and every thing nowadays is done on the screen and kids become happy to enjoy being in the world of virtual fantasy, articulating their creativity by driving virtual high-end vehicles or playing various adrenaline-pumping games on the screen.
To counter this very big epidemic, I had suggested some alternatives in my 2nd. newsletter. I implore all of you to practice those traits and enjoin your family in cognitive activities, creativity, laughter and music. Remember, children fasten and fortify the delicate filaments of the family fiber.
TESTING TODDLERS
As your practitioner, I too would like to take part in this initiative from an ocular perspective. We have acquired a new device that is phenomenally accurate in testing the visual acuity for children from the age of 6 months to 18 years. The device is extremely child friendly, depicts a smiley face, makes melodious sounds [to capture the attention of the child] and measures the eyes from a distance of one meter.
This is particularly beneficial to children as they don’t feel intimidated, are engrossed & impressed by technology and are attracted to the sound it makes. Infants can sit squarely on the parent’s laps and get this process ongoing.
This high precision German technology is child-friendly, non-invasive, no drops and non-intimidating. To complement this service, we have also procured a wide array of colorful eyewear for children and young adults. Fitted with blue block prescription lenses, these are an absolute delight to wear across all ages - infants, children, teenagers and young adults.
EAT RIGHT | SEE RIGHT
Allow me to now engage you on a different tangent. I would like all of us to take cognizance of the fact that our eating content and habits have changed dramatically. While too much processed foods like oil, sugar, salt etc., goes down into our stomachs, our eating habits of ordering fast foods has largely increased.
Crisps, waffles, cookies etc., add on to the list as the children sitting at home indulge on this unfavorable diet that actually does more harm than good. I will strongly suggest that the Family sits together and draws up a nutrition-laden diet plan that will definitely reflect on the overall health of the child and the entire family. In this order I have listed some suggestions below:
BREATHE - YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT
Deep-Breathing Exercise
The nose has a left and a right side; we use both to inhale and exhale.
In reality; they are different; you should be able to feel the difference. The right side represents the sun, the left side represents the moon.
THE RIGHT NUTRITION
Apart from what we eat regularly, we must try and incorporate the below suggestions in your diet every day. Emerging Science dictates that nutrients derived from these foods fortify our Immune systems and make us healthier.
